Sector 9 is one of the most recognizable brands in skateboarding, but their organic search presence was not fully aligned with the size and authority of the brand.

Despite strong brand recognition, most organic traffic was concentrated in only a handful of pages, leaving significant opportunity across the rest of the website.

The Strategy

BOHO SEO analyzed Sector 9’s organic search performance to identify where the brand already had authority and where visibility could expand.

Three key opportunities emerged:

Most traffic was concentrated on the homepage and a few pages. We implemented internal linking and on-page optimization to strengthen key collection pages.

Keyword research revealed thousands of skateboarding searches across beginner education, longboarding, gear, and skate culture that the brand could realistically capture.

We developed a blog strategy targeting high-volume skateboarding questions — creating educational content that attracts discovery traffic while linking users to relevant product collections.
